Main Street Mall Online is a friendly place, with great sellers. It is designed to be easy-to-use so you can get started right away. There is no need to know any HTML or even to create graphic banners or backgrounds. Everything you need is provided in simple step-by-step forms with complete instructions. If you go through the process one step at a time and read the instructions, you will be up and running with your new store in a very short time.
For those who want to use their own banner, background and thumbnail graphic, you can! The site supports easy personalization of your store and listing pages. We do not, however, allow HTML or full listing templates in stores and listings. Our site design allows diversification and personalization of your stores, but it also maintains a consistant "look and feel" over all. Years of experience in online marketing has shown that this is the best choice.
There are a number of things you will want to know about the signup, store creation, and listing process, and all of these will be explained on this page. Please take the time to read through the points below, perhaps making notes as you go, and you will have no trouble setting up your account, your store and creating listings.
Selling On Our Site
- Before signing up for a seller account here, you should read our code of conduct and our frequently asked questions pages. These form a part of the seller agreement on our site.
- All sales transactions made here are direct between buyer and seller. All sales are buy now in nature. There is no waiting for auctions to end. As buyers do not register or signup in order to make a purchase, this site has no buyer information and does not track selling. You can complete your sale by email, or using any of several suitable off-site purchase services like PayPal, Google Checkout, Mals Cart, Cool Cart, etc.
- Sellers are permitted links to their website, or to other selling venues. We believe that your business is your business and you should be allowed, within the spirit as well as the letter of our code of conduct, to build your business where and how you see fit. We do not object to you promoting your business in a legitimate fashion on your store page here.
- The fee for a store on our site is a low flat monthly rate based on the listing package you choose. You can start small and grow later if you wish. There are no listing fees or final sale fees or other commissions. Only the flat monthly rate, regardless of how many items you sell. The listing packages are based on total allowable listings at any one time, not total sales in the month. You can list up to the package total and then as items sell you can list replacements again and again, meaning that the total items you actually list in a month will depend on your package plus your turnover.

How To Sign Up
- Each mall here on Main Street Mall Online is a separate selling site. You need to decide which mall (or malls) you wish to sell on and establish an account on each of those malls. You must create a selling account on the mall where you wish to sell and return to that mall when you wish to access your account.
- To signup for a new account, first go to the site home page and see the Mall Directory. Select the product line that most closely matches what you intend to sell. Please note that malls are merchandise specific, and although some variance is allowed, all items offered for sale in a given mall must be suitable for the product allowable there. Click on the product link to go to the associated mall home page. Review products listed by other sellers there to see if you have chosen a suitable mall for your products or services. When you are ready to begin creating an account, click on the sellers link in the top menu.
